Sea to Sky Explorer Tour

The Sea to Sky Explorer Tour is a full-day private journey that takes you from Metro Vancouver along the iconic Sea to Sky Highway (Highway 99) and straight into the heart of British Columbia's Coast Mountain range. Guided by Inderpal—a local resident with over 40 years of experience in the region—this experience offers seamless, door-to-door private departures tailored specifically to your group's pace and preferences. Your journey begins along the winding coastal highway, hugging the sparkling waters of Howe Sound, North America’s southernmost glacial fjord.

The itinerary features an exceptional mix of coastal views, rich history, and dramatic mountain landscapes. Early stops along the route include Porteau Cove Provincial Park, known for its historic marine pier and sweeping ocean vistas that offer ideal opportunities for spotting wildlife and viewing distant islands. History comes alive at the Britannia Mine Museum, a national historic site where visitors can explore educational exhibits and ride an underground mine train. Continuing north, a peaceful walk through the coastal rainforest brings you to the foot of Shannon Falls, British Columbia’s third-tallest waterfall, cascading 335 meters down sheer granite cliffs.

As you head deeper into the mountains, the tour ascends to incredible vantage points and dramatic geological formations. Experience the Sea to Sky Gondola as it climbs 885 meters to the Summit Lodge, offering access to walking trails, panoramic viewing decks, and the famous Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge. Nature lovers will marvel at the rugged forested valleys and river gorges of Squamish Canyon, as well as the towering 70-meter plunge of Brandywine Falls over ancient volcanic rock formations. Before reaching your final destination, a stop at the elevated Tantalus Lookout reveals unobstructed, panoramic views of the glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Tantalus Mountain Range.

The journey concludes with unforgettable exploration near and inside North America's premier alpine resort village. Guests can take a short hike across a suspension bridge over the Cheakamus River to uncover the Whistler Train Wreck—a unique, forest-hidden art installation featuring brightly painted, historic train cars. The day wraps up with generous free time in the pedestrian-only Whistler Village, allowing you to sample local cafes, browse boutique shops, and take in the vibrant alpine atmosphere before your comfortable private ride back.
